About Us!

We are excited to welcome families to the Wallops Child Development Center, opening soon in our temporary location! This temporary facility will provide a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment while we work toward an even brighter future.

The Wallops Child Development Center serves children of the NASA Wallops Flight Facility workforce, including:

Grandchildren of NASA WFF Civil Servants
Children of WFF tenant companies (based on availability)

Plans are underway to transition into Building E-104, which is being transformed into a state-of-the-art child care center. While we look forward to our permanent home, our dedicated team is committed to delivering exceptional care and education in our current space. We can’t wait to embark on this journey with you and your little ones! Stay tuned for updates as we build the future of child care at Wallops!

Programs

At the Wallops Child Development Center, your child's growth and development are at the heart of everything we do. We recognize that each child comes to us with unique experiences, curiosity, and a desire to explore the world around them. Our goal is to nurture their self-confidence, love for learning, and positive association with school from the very beginning.

Our learning environment is designed to be safe, engaging, and enriching, encouraging children to explore, create, and develop at their own pace. The WCDC curriculum builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning through a balanced approach to play and academics. By fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development, we help children gain the skills they need to thrive as active and confident members of the school community.

WCDC ensures that all instruction aligns with Virginia state regulations and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Standards, providing a high-quality early childhood education experience.

At the WCDC, our mission is to provide a positive, supportive, and enriching early childhood experience—one that inspires a lifelong love for learning.
